Halloween Costumes Completed!

I put the finishing touches on our costumes just in time for the ward Halloween Boo Bash (I literally had to expand Kimball's vest minutes before...I didn't realize HOW chunky he really is :)
Anyway, I was very pleased with how they turned out and glad we could do a family theme again. It's only a few short years until my kids don't think it's "cool" anymore...bummer. Oh well, we'll enjoy it while it lasts!

3 1/2 month check-up

Kimball had his 3 1/2 month check up a few weeks ago and had the following "stats":
23 1/4 inches
15 lb 10 oz

Making him in the 10th percentile for his height and the 75th percentile for his weight. So yes, he really is short and fat, it's not just in my head :). He is just a doll though (especially the day after his weekly bowel movement) and has really taken to cooing and smiling. At the doctor's visit he was such a show off, it was adorable. And as of last night (Oct. 19th) he started gigglingwhile his daddy was tickling him, so stinkin cute to see all that chub wiggle :)

Too cute to not share....

What can I say besides I love my kids and think they are adorable?

Mr. Chubbs

Looks like Kimball learned something about gaining weight from his mommy while in the womb...
He weighed in at 13 lbs 10 oz this past week at the doctor. (Although he did have on clothes and a diaper). He is gaining weight like a champ though and has really taken to smiling lately. He is so adorable. We love having him in our family.

Swim Lessons

Aubrielle and Benson both took swim lessons this summer. It was so fun to see them get more confident in the water and to see their personality differences. Let's just say Aubrielle still had to be coaxed into jumping in the pool at the end of 4 weeks of lessons, while Benson on the other hand decided that sitting on the side of the pool and jumping in was too easy and decided to stand up and jump in all by himself. He was very confident in his abilities and kept telling the teacher to "scoot back further" so he could swim all by himself. They both had a blast though and are working towards being water safe. I was fortunate enough to have my mom here helping, and then my sister Emily here helping so that most days I got to stay home with Kimball and nap :) We loved our visits from both my mom and Aunt Emily, they were such a HUGE help to me, I seriously don't know what I would have done without them. Feel free to come back and visit anytime Aunt Meanie :)

Aubrielle loses her 1st Tooth

Wow, I can't believe my little Aubrielle is old enough to be losing teeth already! It seems like only yesterday we were at the Grubbs Family reunion in Texas and her 1st little tooth poked through. Now, 5 years later, the day before she leaves for the Grubbs Family reunion she lost that same tooth. Where did all that time go!?!? Anyway, Aubrielle showed us her loose tooth on Sunday, and Camron worked on trying to pull it out every night all week long. Finally, Friday afternoon (after a long night of Camron pulling on it) I gave it one good tug and out it popped. I was surprised how calm she remained. I think the first thing she said was, "Now Dad said I get an otter pop to stop the bleeding!" What a trooper. She even made the tooth fairy a card and gave her half a stick of gum (the other half went to her Uncle Tyler for his 19th bday) and a breath mint. It must have paid off though because the next morning she had cash to buy goodies on the trip. She bought nerds and sweetarts and informed me she was going to share with everyone, what a sweetie.

Hugs from Jaycie

I just had to post these pictures of my little Jaycie. She might refuse to talk (although rumor has it that now that she is away on vacation with Granny and Papa she's decided to break her silence) but her facial expressions are worth a million words. When she goes to give you a hug she throws her arms wide open and gets the happiest look on her face, it just melts my heart. She is such a bundle of joy, we are so glad she's in our family. The kids have all been away for the past week and I'm so looking forward to seeing them again tomorrow and getting a hug from each and every one of them!

4th of July Fun

The 4th of July was awesome this year. We bought the kids a kiddie pool and couldn't get them out all day. They had so much fun.

Then we got dressed in our red, white and blue and went to the church for a bbq and to watch fireworks. We were able to see a lot of our friends we hadn't seen in a while and the kids got to run around and get any remaining energy out. The weather was awesome and we had a great time.

Sometimes you are just too tired...

Benson got up one night and said he had to go to the bathroom. 15 minutes later I had not seen him go back to his bedroom yet so I went to investigate and found this....
Poor guy.

We love Kimball!

We are so glad to have Kimball home finally!
Kimball doing what he does best...sleeping (and being incredibly adorable might I add :)

What great helpers. I walked into Kimball's room to find these two girls with chairs pulled up to the crib checking in on their little brother. So cute.

Dallan and Daddy entertain the kids

While Kimball was still in the NICU Camron and Dallan took Aubrielle and Benson to the Dodgers game. They got there and tried to redeem their free ticket vouchers only to hear the ticket agent say that they were sold out and the cheapest tickets were going to be $30 a ticket. Dallan and Camron stared at eachother in disbelief when Dallan asked the agent, "What about ticket scalpers? Where do they hang out?!?" So needless to say after being pointed in the right direction by the ticket agent, all 4 of them got into the game for $22, way to go Uncle Dallan.

Kimball comes home!

Daddy dressing Kimball to bring him home, what a great Father's Day present!
Kimball Wayne home after 7 days in the NICU, where he got treated with antibiotics, help with raising his low blood sugar level, spent time under the bili lights and learned how to eat.
Grandma has been here helping since Tuesday and we are loving EVERY minute of it :)
Kimball being loved by his sisters.
Daddy and his boys on Father's Day.
Mommy and her "helpers". We've decided Kimball went from intensive care to "extensive care". He rarely gets a feeding without 2 or 3 siblings in his face.
Benson and daddy feeding Kimball.
Kimball is home and the kids couldn't be happier :) This picture just melts my heart. I have truly been blessed with some incredible miracles in my life, and just about each one of these kids has been one. I am so grateful to have healthy and (in my opinion) stinkin' adorable kids.

Our newest (and tiniest) addition

We are so thrilled to announce the (early) arrival of our new little guy:
Kimball Wayne
6 lbs 0 oz
18 1/2 inches
June 14th, 2009
4:56 pm
Mom and baby are both doing well. Kimball is in the NICU due to being 5 1/2 weeks early. He is being treated with antibiotics due to mom's leaky bag of waters and being given sugar water due to low blood sugar. Both problems should be resolved quickly and we hope to take him home in a few days.
Aubrielle and Benson were able to visit him in the NICU and were just thrilled to finally meet their new little brother.

Pool time!

I finally uploaded pictures from when we went swimming a few weekends ago. I was going to post them right away and brag about the heat, but after about a day I was ready to complain (90+ is NOT that comfortable when you are packing around an extra little person :) Anyway, the temperature has gone back to "normal" and I'm loving it, but the extreme sun was fun for a weekend :)

Happy Belated Birthday Camron!

Camron's birthday was on Sunday, yes, Easter Sunday. Aubrielle thought it was the greatest and has been telling EVERYBODY for about the past month. The kids had a great time decorating the wrapping paper, hiding his presents, and even taking pictures of dad opening his presents (Mom had to do some major cropping to get dad in the middle of the pictures for this collage :). Camron and I got to go out on a date Saturday night and I hope he loved it as much as I did. (There is just something about being able to have a real conversation over the dinner table and to shop at the store for hours without anyone complaining, I'm sure those with small kids can relate). Anyway, I had a great time and just wanted to wish the man I love a very happy (and very belated birthday)!!

Bike time

So after listening to Benson and Aubrielle fight over the way too small princess bike for the past month, mom and dad decided to give in and buy them each their own bike. Let me just say it has been worth EVERY penny. They love to do laps around and around the garages, and mom loves being able to just sit and ENJOY the outdoors. And Jaycie was spoiled when Dad was home this weekend and got to join in the fun and of course loved every minute of it because she was "BIG". Now that dad is back at work she just follows them around pushing her "scooter" (we'll be in big trouble when she realizes her "scooter" is really just a baby walker).
