Dear Santa

Aubrielle decided to write Santa Claus yesterday, and since she doesn't know how to write yet I decided to help her make a video for him instead. Sorry it is so shakey, I was trying to keep Benson out of the tree while I was videoing it, so it's kinda wobbley. And he makes some background noise so it might be hard to understand what she is saying. So I'll give you a heads up, she wants a puppy, "not a real puppy just a brown ear..." and an "Arbie (also known as Barbie) with brown ears...." Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

Birthday Boy

Well now that's it's been over a week I thought I better share some pics from Benson's birthday. Since it was the day before Thanksgiving I decided to just have cupcakes and icecream after dinner and then let him open his presents. He had a great time, and of course didn't give us any show while eating his cupcake, just scarfed it down like everything else you put in front of him! He loved the toys he got, and even got to play with them when Aubrielle wasn't looking...the joy of two kids I guess. Anyway, just thought I'd share the pics, enjoy!

Camera Man

Apparently living this close to Hollywood has really inspired Benson. When I got the camera out to make a video one day he was all about being in control of the camera. And since he looked so stinkin cute I couldn't object....Of course that wasn't a good idea because then he refused to stay put during the video and I had to resort to strapping him down to his booster chair....poor little guy.

Video Sharing

Okay guys, I'm going to attempt to share videos of Aubrielle using YouTube, so please be patient while I work things out....you should just be able to click on the play button and it should start. (Or if you prefer you can click on the link under the video and it'll take you to the YouTube website where you can watch it). Let me know if it works! Enjoy!!

Happy Halloween!

Here are pictures of our Halloween costumes. The kids went as puppies and Camron and I went as Dog Catchers. It took me forever to make the costumes, but it was well worth it. We got compliments all night long and Camron was begging me to print off pictures so he could take them into work this morning.
They were really official with their own dog tags and everything. Of course I couldn't get Benson to hold still long enough to take a picture of his tag, so you'll just have to take my word for it.
Anyway, we had a great time. First we went to the ward "Trunk or Treat" and enjoyed getting lots of candy and only having to walk around the parking lot!
Then we went trick or treating so that Aubrielle could actually use her "knocking skills" Camron worked with her all week on. (He would stand behind the hallway door, she would knock and say trick or treat and he would give her a dot or two in her doggie bowl, it was really cute to see them practicing) And we trick or treated until the kids dropped. Finally I said, "Well Aubrielle are we done yet?" She said, "Yeah, I think I'm tired." That's a lot coming from a 2-year old! (Especially since every other time I asked her that she said, "NO! I want more CANDY!!") Hope you all had a great night as well!

Cheesy Cheese

Camron took this picture of Benson on Sunday and it was too cute to not share. I thought the bread in the mouth at the same time was a great touch. He has the biggest cheesiest smile in the world and it brightens my day everytime he flashes it at me. Enjoy!

Crossword Queen

Aubrielle has apparently watched her mom do a few too many crossword puzzles....it's pretty bad when a two year old prefers the crossword book to her coloring book. Oh well, it keeps her entertained! (Although I did have to buy her her own crossword book so she would stop coloring all over mine!!)

Cookie Frosting

Here is Aubrielle frosting a sugar cookie, although I'm pretty sure I should say something like, "Here is Aubrielle frosting her mouth", as I am sure more frosting made it in her mouth than on the cookie.

Pouty Face

This face of Benson's just makes Camron and I laugh so hard. Especially when he sticks his two little front teeth all the way out. He pulls it all the time, almost as a, "Should I laugh or cry face?" Of course it was really hard to catch with the camera as every time we brought out the camera he would flash us a huge smile. So we won't go into details as to what we had to do to get the face on camera, but trust us, it wasn't pretty.....hope it was worth it!

Weekend in Salt Lake City

Benson and I got to go to SLC the weekend of Oct. 6th for my brother Brad's wedding. We had a great time and were able to hang out with all of my family for the weekend.
Here he is with his cousin David, showing off for the camera. They had a great time together terrorizing Golden Corral and look forward to more playtime together.
Here we are hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so fun to just hang out with the family!!

Mr. "Me Too"

Well this series of pictures really just empitomizes the last few weeks with Benson, anything Aubrielle can do, he thinks he can as well. Here he is coloring with her chalk, and then trying to escape off the patio just like she does....(something mom wishes she never would have learned in the first place!)
And here he is eating a yogurt all by himself. Of course he was totally fine letting mom feed him the yogurt until he looked over and noticed Aubrielle was eating hers all by herself, and then it was, "Give me that spoon!" And since I didn't feel like putting up a fight, we had to move bathtime to right after yourt.
Lastly, here he is with his new toothbrush, loving the fact that he is (as far as he sees it) "a big boy" now.

...and Mrs. "Me Too"

I just had to add this picture of Aubrielle, as it so accurately depicts everyday life at the Plaster household. As I was taking pictures of Benson making a royal mess of his yogurt, she came and climbed up on my lap and started insisting I take her picture as well. So, here she is, getting the "equal camera time" she insists on.

Photo shoot

Okay mom got a little adventurous this morning while doing Aubrielle's hair and decided to straighten it. So after all that work of course we had to take pictures. And pretty much right after that I took a shower and she insisted she had to take one too, so good bye straight hair. So we went back out and took some with curly hair. Camron said he doesn't like the ones with straight hair because he says it doesn't look like her, but Aubrielle assured him that it was her. "No, it IS Aubielle!" What a funny girl....oh and I tried to get a few with Benson in them but that was the last thing on his mind. He was free to explore outdoors while mommy and Aubrielle played with the camera and was NOT about to get caught and pinned down for a picture!

Walking and owies...

Well we had a fun filled Sunday night. Benson took his first steps (well half-steps) and Aubrielle added another owie to a growing list. (The one right above this one on the list is from a few days ago when she touched the exhaust pipe on Camron's motorcycle and burnt her hand....she still has the blisters from it in fact). Anyway, she was jumping up and down holding onto the edge of the table and right before I was about to say, "Watch out you are going to hit the edge of the table and bite your tongue," she did exactly that. Luckily though Daddy had just made cookie dough, and that is a great bandaid. And Benson decided that night that he was sick of just standing and mustered up enough courage to move his foot about 1/2 of a step. After doing that a few times he got brave enough to take about 3 half-steps, alternating the two feet. So it looks like full on mobility is just around the corner....ahhhh!!

Bath Crayons!

The best part about these pictures is why they were in the bath in the first place. We had left the door open for just a minute and Benson made a beeline for it. Once Camron caught up to him he couldn't bring himself to bring him back in as he had the biggest smile on this face Camron had ever seen. So, we got to spend the next hour letting Benson explore the outdoors with Aubrielle running circles around him. And after the trip outdoors we were all filthy dirty, so Benson and Aubrielle got thrown in the bath and Benson got to try out Aubrielle's bathtub crayons for the first time. He thought they were pretty cool, and tasty as well as you can see in the pictures. Oh, and in case you couldn't tell, Aubrielle's drawing is of a car wash, which is quite funny because she hates the carwash, but the whole time she was drawing she was telling us about how this was the carwash. Anyway, enjoy the pictures! Posted by Picasa

LA County Fair

Well this last weekend we went to the largest fair in the world, the LA county fair, and had a blast. The kids got to pet a donkey, ride a wooden horse, go on a carnival ride (well Aubrielle did at least), and saw lots and lots of cool animals. We had so much fun that both kids fell asleep in their strollers before we left the fair, so we had to wait to give them their souvenir until we got home. They absolutely love it. The only problem we have with it is remembering to share! What a hard concept at age 2.....Anyway, enjoy the pictures, wish you all could have come with us!
