Lovin Emily's Quilt

After all the hard work Emily put into this quilt, I felt like she needed more pictures showing it off. (And Celeste may or may not have tried to show me up and took some adorable pictures of Lucy with her quilt).
So once again here's to Emily and her amazing skills! (And to the adorable model that I just can't get enough of, Jaycie Grace!)

Worm time

The other day Aubrielle and Benson were upset because their friend, Jonny, had a whole family of worms, and they couldn't catch any. My initial thought was to respond, "Yuck, who would want to play with worms anyway?" But then I remembered back to 1989, in our sand (okay pea gravel) box when Celeste and Justin used to play the same game. They would have the complete family, the mom, dad, brothers, sisters, babies. And then I couldn't resist. Out I went to help dig up worms so that they too could have their own family of worms. They were in heaven. Just look at them with their new "pets".

The best was listening to Aubrielle talk to this worm while I took the picture, (in her high "fake" voice of course) "Okay, mommy's going to take our picture! Okay?!" Too funny. And yes, a day later we still have pet worms, carefully placed in an old cool whip container on the patio. Oh the joy of being a kid and taking delight in such little (and might I add squirmy) things!

We LOVE Aunt Emily!

This blog post is dedicated to my sister Emily for all her hard work on this gorgeous quilt. She also made one for Celeste's new baby, Lucy, so they have matching quilts from their Auntie Em! We sure do love having her spoil us with all of her craft skills. Let's just hope she doesn't have her own kids too soon, we might not get so much lovin' when that happens!

Look who's 4!

Aubrielle turned 4 on Feb. 13th. I can hardly believe she is that old already! She has definitely been a joy in our lives the past 4 years and we can't wait to spend many more with her!

Modeling with the sweet card from Gramma and Papa.

Aubrielle and I went and got pedicures together for both of our birthdays. It was so cute to see her sitting there thinking she was really big! It was so funny though because she just giggled the whole time (complete with her hand over her mouth) and kept squirming when they touched her feet. She must have sensitive feet like her mom!

Present Time

Showing off all her loot!

Posing with yet another jewlery set. (This girl has more jewelry than I do, and she just turned 4!)

Playing with her "Little People" wedding set. Of course a huge hit, thanks Gramma and Papa!

Modeling her new princess watch, we are so excited for her to learn to tell time (or at least read the numbers off of it).

Looking at her new Cinderella locket, complete with pictures of her first and only true loves, mommy and daddy of course! Thanks Granny and Papa (for the watch too)!

Party time!

Birthday girl with her 4 cupcakes.

Benson took his hat off before we could snap a picture (don't blame him, those things were made for fashion, not comfort)

Mommy and Jaycie

My sister Emily requested I post this picture, so here it is. Our youngest party girl showing off her hat!

How to get a newborn to sleep through the night....

(Yes, this is exactly how I found her at 8 AM after she fell asleep at 7:30 PM!)

Happy Birthday "Papa Boat"!

Just wishing our Papa Boat a very happy birthday!

(And yes, that is a very long piece of curling ribbon in Aubrielle's hair...she insisted!)

Journaling Aubrielle's latest

Just some cute little things that I want to remember down the road, so I am putting them here for safe keeping!

Aubrielle was asked to share the scripture in primary yesterday so we helped her memorize D&C 82:10. (Keep in mind this means we never had her read it out of the scriptures, or even look it up in the scriptures for that matter.) When it was time for her to recite it she walked up to the pulpit, grabbed a bible off the display table in front of the pulpit and started flipping through the pages. I was in the back of the room (because she had let me know she wanted to do it all by herself) and when I walked to the pulpit to help her she told me, "I can't find which page it's on!" I wanted to die laughing. But I just quickly pointed on the page and said, "Oh, there it is!" Luckily she believed and then recited her scripture (with a few prompts from me of course). And then she gave the prayer, all by herself! She is definitely one brave little girl.

With the passing of Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley we had a family home evening lesson on prophets and explained to Aubrielle how we already know who the next prophet will be, but how it's important to get a witness for yourself that the calling is truely from the Lord. This morning I let her know that we were going to watch on the computer as they announced who the new prophet will be, as well as the counselors he had called. She then said, "Oh, do you hear that? That's Jesus telling me that President Monson will be the new prophet." Of course I just melted. Isn't is nice to know that your kids really do listen at family home evening?

Aunt Emily's Visit

My sister, Emily, flew down to visit us this weekend, hooray! We love having her here. Yesterday we helped her set up her own blog, which has an M&M design (since her husbands name is "M"att and her name is "Em"ily). The kids LOVED turning the whole family into M&M's. Here we are: If you know my family at all, you have to go to Emily's blog and check out the rest of the family, it's quite funny. Alright, well Aubrielle wants to go make more M&M's, so off we go, enjoy!

Lucy Ann Arrives!

My sister, Celeste, had her baby finally! Here is the cute little family at the hospital:
Lucy Ann
7lbs 12oz.
20 in.
February 1
1:47pm
What a cutie! She looks just like a mini-David, and thus, a mini-Celeste/Ben. Although in this picture she looks a lot like Celeste did as a baby (in my opinion at least). We sure can't wait to meet her this summer!
And here is an adorable video of David welcoming Lucy that I just had to share (don't ask me WHY he has a diaper on his head, but grandma and the uncles were babysitting....so that should explain alot....)
