Photo shoot

Okay mom got a little adventurous this morning while doing Aubrielle's hair and decided to straighten it. So after all that work of course we had to take pictures. And pretty much right after that I took a shower and she insisted she had to take one too, so good bye straight hair. So we went back out and took some with curly hair. Camron said he doesn't like the ones with straight hair because he says it doesn't look like her, but Aubrielle assured him that it was her. "No, it IS Aubielle!" What a funny girl....oh and I tried to get a few with Benson in them but that was the last thing on his mind. He was free to explore outdoors while mommy and Aubrielle played with the camera and was NOT about to get caught and pinned down for a picture!

Walking and owies...

Well we had a fun filled Sunday night. Benson took his first steps (well half-steps) and Aubrielle added another owie to a growing list. (The one right above this one on the list is from a few days ago when she touched the exhaust pipe on Camron's motorcycle and burnt her hand....she still has the blisters from it in fact). Anyway, she was jumping up and down holding onto the edge of the table and right before I was about to say, "Watch out you are going to hit the edge of the table and bite your tongue," she did exactly that. Luckily though Daddy had just made cookie dough, and that is a great bandaid. And Benson decided that night that he was sick of just standing and mustered up enough courage to move his foot about 1/2 of a step. After doing that a few times he got brave enough to take about 3 half-steps, alternating the two feet. So it looks like full on mobility is just around the corner....ahhhh!!

Bath Crayons!

The best part about these pictures is why they were in the bath in the first place. We had left the door open for just a minute and Benson made a beeline for it. Once Camron caught up to him he couldn't bring himself to bring him back in as he had the biggest smile on this face Camron had ever seen. So, we got to spend the next hour letting Benson explore the outdoors with Aubrielle running circles around him. And after the trip outdoors we were all filthy dirty, so Benson and Aubrielle got thrown in the bath and Benson got to try out Aubrielle's bathtub crayons for the first time. He thought they were pretty cool, and tasty as well as you can see in the pictures. Oh, and in case you couldn't tell, Aubrielle's drawing is of a car wash, which is quite funny because she hates the carwash, but the whole time she was drawing she was telling us about how this was the carwash. Anyway, enjoy the pictures! Posted by Picasa

LA County Fair

Well this last weekend we went to the largest fair in the world, the LA county fair, and had a blast. The kids got to pet a donkey, ride a wooden horse, go on a carnival ride (well Aubrielle did at least), and saw lots and lots of cool animals. We had so much fun that both kids fell asleep in their strollers before we left the fair, so we had to wait to give them their souvenir until we got home. They absolutely love it. The only problem we have with it is remembering to share! What a hard concept at age 2.....Anyway, enjoy the pictures, wish you all could have come with us!

Camron's New Bike

For those of you who haven't heard yet, Camron is the proud owner of a Honda Shadow. It works great as a second set of wheels for the family. Cheap on gas and insurance. The kids love the bike too. Just the other night Camron had it out and was washing it and Benson would not stop squirming around and squealing in my arms. I finally set him on the bike to give my arm a break and realized that is why he had been screaming in the first place: He wanted to ride Daddy's motorcycle. He sat up there and "gacked" (his favorite, and only, word) for awhile and then reached out and grabbed the handlebar. He thought he was pretty cool. And every night when Daddy pulls up on the bike both kids go running for the door, Aubrielle calling out that she wants a ride, and Benson watching intently while screaming, "Gack! Gack!" It's pretty dang cute.

Our sleepy laundry outing....

This picture only tells half of my adventures on my last laundry outing. As you can see, Aubrielle fell asleep in the stroller, however, she wasn't the only one. Benson also fell asleep that trip, only he was in a Snugli on my chest (so consequently I couldn't get a picture of that). The worst part was that it was so hot (one of our famous triple digit days in September) and having him sleeping on me got really sweaty! Plus every time I bent down to get laundry out of the dryer he would flop all over the place....So I had to balance the laundry basket on top of the stroller, push the stroller with one hand (hoping Aubrielle wouldn’t slip out) and hold Benson’s head with my other hand. (He was facing away from me and his poor head was flopping all around) Needless to say I was happy to arrive at my apartment and put these two tired kids to bed!
P.S. Notice the outfit Aubrielle picked out that day, a maroon velvet dress, not the best pick for a hot day if you ask me. But she insisted the dress was her "wedding dress" and that she HAD to wear it....what a character. Posted by Picasa

Giving this a shot....

Alright, I'm joining the blog world. Mostly just to make sharing pictures easier. So use this website to see the Plaster Family in action! Here is a picture of the kids I took last month. Benson is wearing an outfit that my brother Dallan (now 14) wore when he was a baby.
