New Cousin Coming Shortly!

Well, my sister, Celeste, has finally convinced her doctor to induce her. She is 5 days OVERDUE and needing the baby to get here before her husband takes off next week to interview at Creighton University for dental school. So, she goes in tonight at 8 pm to be induced! Best of luck little sis! (If only you knew what you were getting yourself into...(her last one was a planned c-section due to a breech little boy)) Hopefully I'll be posting pictures of the new little one shortly!!

My how the time flies....

Well, my sister, Celeste, is supposed to be having her baby ANY day now, and it's just got me thinking on how fast time flies! I remember when I had Aubrielle and her cousin, Lydia, was 3 months old and thinking how "old" Lydia was! Now I can't believe that I'll have the "old" baby...I feel like I just had Jaycie yesterday! Man the time flies!

One Man's Junk...

One new refrigerator at Home Depot (1 1/2 years ago): $380
One box that the refrigerator came in: free
2 hours of labor to build the house: donated by dad

Contact paper to "refinish" the house (since the kids pulled off all the construction paper from the inital look): $10

Wood knob off the dresser to use as a door knob: free
3 hours of labor to "refinish" the house: donated by mom (with help from dad)

Dad saying we can keep the house (even though the only room we have left for it is in the front room): PRICELESS

Rain. Rain. Go Away!

I think Benson put it perfectly today when he was singing in the car, "Go way Rain! Go way Rain!" I know for those of you in "normal" areas of the US, 3 days of rain is nothing. But here in the "Southland" it's unheard of!! We have so much rain we don't know what to do with it. Just check out the view out my front door...

It won't be long before I need a row boat to get to my garage!

And this new pond off my patio is quite nice don't you think?!? It's sure a good thing this is unusual...I've fallen in love with just being able to walk out the door in shorts and flip flops year round!! This rain jacket thing sure stinks....Spoiled, spoiled me!

My Favorite Age

My 3 babies when they were 2 months old...
Jaycie is 3 months old today, I can't believe it. It is such a fun age though, she is cooing back and smiling. She also recognizes mommy, SO cute! And, the other day I left her on her tummy, and when I came back she was on her back (and no, Benson didn't "help" her like he's been known to do), so I put her back on her tummy and she rolled over again! (Only this one I got to see!) Of course it was a one time thing though, she hasn't done it again (which is exciting for mommy, she doesn't need another one moving yet!!)

My Little Treasures

Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
I had a great reminder on Saturday night that the Lord has told us to lay up treasures in heaven, not on earth. So although the world might tell me I need the biggest house, newest car, designer clothes, I know that I have some of the best treasures of all....my kids and amazing husband (though not pictured here). And they will be with me forever!

Let's play Jaycie!

So I left Jaycie under this toy ALL BY HERSELF yesterday and ran to go clean the dog poop out of my shoe that I stepped in...yuck. And when I came back to check on her, this is what I found. ALL THREE KIDS under the toy playing, how fun!

Benson's a Big Boy!

Well, just had to get a video of my big boy. He has told us he had to go poop BEFORE it was too late for the past TWO days, and gone in the TOILET!! Yahoo! (and he also insisits on doing it completely naked...LOL....no clue where he got that from!) I could care less if this is as far as we get in the potty training world for a while...I HATE poopy diapers, especially when it gets to "big boy poop". Anyway, here is a video I had to hurry and take while Aubrielle was going potty since she always pushes him out of the way and steals the show. However if you listen really good you can hear her yelling from the bathroom....what a funny girl. Anyway, enjoy!

Kids say the silliest things

Just wanted to jot down some of the funny things Aubrielle and Benson have said lately before I forget them!

Aubrielle has enjoyed singing Christmas songs this Christmas and been heard belting out as she walks through the apartment, "Gloooooria, in a Chelsie Stable" (no matter how many times her dad and uncle tried to teach her "in excelsis deo").

Benson's speaking ability has really picked up in the last few weeks, and he has really fallen in love with his little sister's middle name (Grace). So now he can be heard saying, "Ok Daddy Gace", "Ok Mommy Gace", "No no Jaycie Gace".

And lastly, we went out to dinner the other night and the waitress came to see what we wanted to drink. She suggested a few options, "Draft beer, margaritas, soda, lemondade, or coffee". Aubrielle promptly shouted (and I mean shouted) "COFFEE?!?! We don't drink coffee!!" We all started laughing and then when the laughter died down she shouted, "We drink PEPSI!!!"
